Examining gender-based violence (GBV) among women who do informal, precarious, non-standard work.

The Yukon Federation of Labour (YFL) will be contributing to a research project to document experiences with gender-based violence among racialized and migrant women who work in precarious, informal, and non-standard jobs in the Yukon, as well as the service providers and advocates who support them. The research will try to understand the women experiencing gender-based violence, labour violations, and trafficking. As well as how they are viewed by support services, and which legislative and service frameworks are the most effective way of addressing their needs.

If you have insights into recommendations for policymakers, NGOs, and community-based organizations, please get in touch with our office at yfl@yukonfed.com.
