Disrupting Human Trafficking in Yukon

Human trafficking is a growing crisis in Canada, and airports are critical points of intervention. Survivors and advocates have called for visible awareness campaigns to disrupt trafficking networks and provide resources to those at risk. 

Airports across Canada — including Calgary, Edmonton, Yellowknife, and Waterloo — have already partnered with national campaigns like #NotInMyCity to install signage, train staff, and create safe spaces. These initiatives save lives. 

It’s time for Yukon to join this national movement. By installing awareness signage at Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport and other Yukon airports, we can send a clear message: human trafficking has no place here.
