Come out to hear from the candidates running to represent all of Yukon in the next federal election in Canada.
The Yukon Federation of Labour invites all Yukon residents to a Federal Election All-Candidates Debate on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Gold Rush Inn (411 Main Street, Whitehorse). This event offers voters a critical opportunity to hear directly from candidates vying to become the territory’s next Member of Parliament (MP) in the upcoming federal election on issues central to workers, families and communities.
This debate is open to the public and a critical opportunity to hear from candidates before the opening of advance polls for the federal election. The debate will also be live-streamed on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The debate will focus on key issues impacting Yukoners, including affordable housing, environmental stewardship, labour rights, economic development and indigenous and international relations. The Yukon Federation of Labour is committed to ensuring a fair and informative debate, moderated by Teresa Acheson, President of the Yukon Federation of Labour, with the opportunity for attendees to submit questions for the candidates.
This debate is a cornerstone of democratic engagement. We encourage all Yukoners to attend, ask tough questions, and hold candidates accountable. The decisions made in Ottawa directly affect our communities, and this is your chance to shape that conversation.
